Waiting, waiting, waiting
I have done everything asked, gotten all the paperwork done that was asked for and now I am waiting for an appointment. Sigh. I just want it to be done and to be able to get started on my work. Voc Rehab here in town moves very slowly due to the lack of staffing. They need more workers.

On the way
After spending a long 5 days going thru and working on the business plan, I got the word that there appears to be enough information for us to go on to the next step. Hopefully it will be in the next few days. I just want to be able to take the time to get a place to get started. As soon as that is done we will be on the way. It is so exciting to me to be able to look at taking the next step. I found a wonderful woman who is going to help me with the web pages and setting up the books. That is one thing off my mind.
Tomorrow I will register the business name and get the EIN number for it. Then it will be opening a checking account under the name. I think I may look at a credit union rather than a big bank because of the financial meltdown that has been going on. I don't think the credit unions have done the unscrupulous type of loans which will default, but I will ask for information on their stability before putting money anywhere.

Moving along
I spent the weekend photographing the fleeces I need to sell and taking pictures. I desperately need a car so I have put my fleeces that I can sell and yarns and finished items out on my site, Elizabeth Drake Designs.
I want to get this Alpaca Spinsters going as soon as possible so that I can get rid of the pittance I get from the state to live on and help others in the same way.
I hate not being able to do my regular work and definitely don't want to stay on state disability. SSI Disability will take 2-3 years and I would rather find something that I can do to work. I have never been off work for very long since I was a young girl.
The more I do, the more I can get enough money to buy the van I need for the business.

NBC Olympic coverage stank!
Per Yahoo's news coverage, "NBC’s effort to convince Olympics officials to schedule certain events in the morning so the network could show them live everywhere except the West Coast."
Therefore, those of us on the West Coast had to wait until long after everyone else had seen the races, 3 hours in fact. I would much rather get to see the competitions when they happen, cheer on the teams and send them my positive energy, than already have the news that my chosen person won or lost.
In the case of the 4x100 relays, I didn't even bother to turn on the show I was so disgusted. In fact, I quit watching the Olympics and didn't even bother to watch the closing ceremony because it went late and I was already sleep deprived by watching the men's basketball team live at 1 oclock in the morning.
I already knew that I would not be able to see a replay of the opening games because I had not purchased my television coverage from an authorized vendor and thus could not see the closing coverage in review as well. Had it been shown on TV when it occurred and not 3 hours later, I would have been able to coordinate it with my schedule.
I resent someone else making the decision that the west coast had to wait for 3 hours to watch a race that was already won or lost.

Getting Started
I tell you what, this is a long process and much more work than I ever thought. I have most of the information about goals and most of the specifics. This week I have to finish the database.
In order to create a good database with interface, it requires you to detail EVERYTHING you can think of and know that there will be more. Type of spinning, huacaya or suri, thick or thin yarn, how much each is worth in the skein of things (LOL). Then there is the color of the alpacas. Does the owner want it back to them dyed or not. It gets so detailed my head starts swimming. I am only working one group at a time. It seems like I have been working on this forever! But it has only been about 3 months. There is so much detail that is required there is no quick way around it.
So, I have to get back to it.
